QORICANCHA: The Temple of the Sun, the most sacred site of the Inca Empire. In its heyday, its walls shone covered in pure gold. Entry was only permitted while fasting, barefoot, and carrying a symbol of humility. Here, one could feel the living presence of Inti, the Sun God. SACSAYHUAMAN: Just 2 km from the center of Cusco rises this majestic Inca ceremonial complex. Its colossal stone blocks fit together with a precision that still defies time and logic. Walking through Sacsayhuaman makes one feel small before the grandeur of the past. Sacsayhuaman is a reflection of the power, faith, and engineering of the children of the Sun. Q’ENQO: A mysterious natural amphitheater where the Incas performed sacred rituals. Here, the figures carved into the rock—such as the puma, a sacred animal—symbolize strength and balance, reminding us of the profound spiritual connection between the ancient Peruvians and nature. PUKA-PUKARA: Its name means "red fortress." It served as a refuge, checkpoint, and resting place. Its walls still echo with the voices of Inca travelers and guardians of the road. TAMBOMACHAY: The Temple of Water. This ceremonial site, surrounded by canals and fountains, symbolizes the veneration of water as the source of life. It was also a space for rest and contemplation for the Inca elite. The towers surrounding the site are a reminder of its strategic importance. Take the best souvenir photos here. SOUTH AMERICAN CAMELID BREEDING CENTER: Along the route, we will visit a South American Camelid Breeding Center that offers an authentic experience of Andean culture, where visitors learn firsthand about the traditional raising of llamas and alpacas, emblematic animals of the Peruvian Andes. At the end of the tour, we will return near the Plaza de Armas, from where you can return to your hotel and continue exploring this magical city on your own.
