Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Places to visit: Chinchero Our first destination is the charming town of Chinchero, famous for its small colonial chapel built upon ancient Inca walls. We will visit its artisan market, renowned for its wealth of textiles and traditions that are proudly preserved, and its archaeological site with its terraces and agricultural platforms, built by the Inca Tupac Yupanqui around 1493. Mullaka Misminay Community We will depart for the community of Misminay, where we will be welcomed with traditional music and dances. We will learn about Andean textiles, participate in the collective preparation of the traditional Pachamanca, share in llama/alpaca herding, textile art, agricultural tasks, or a donkey ride to the Moray viewpoint (depending on the visitor's choice). After completing the chosen activity, we will unearth our Pachamanca to finally savor this exquisite dish, which is sure to be a treat for the palate. Ollantaytambo In the afternoon, we will arrive in Ollantaytambo, the only and last living Inca city that is still inhabited and preserves its original urban layout. We will walk among some of its stone streets and climb to its majestic fortress, a marvel of Inca engineering and worldview. After visiting Ollantaytambo, we will return to Cusco, or alternatively, from here you can continue your journey by train to Machu Picchu on a connecting trip.
